"Sentosa Island"

When we think about what to see in Singapore, our minds always get puzzled as there are a lot of places to see. So where shall we go? One amazing destination where you get it all from fun, food to entertainment is Sentosa Island. Aforementioned are few attractions in Sentosa Island, the place itself is a major tourist attraction in Singapore. Amidst the towering structures, if a getaway is what you are looking for to rejuvenate in the beach then Siloso Beach is a good hotspot for getting some beach time. Sentosa Island by far is jam packed with various activities and several other beach attractions as well. Some must do beach activitiesin Siloso are volleyball that can be played on free courts as well as kayaking and skim-boarding. Another note worthy experience this Island offers is Underwater World Aquarium where you can swim with dolphins. However, a must-see on Sentosa Island is Singapore’s famous statue, the Merlion. Fort Siloso is also a must visit attraction, it is the country’s only preserved fort located on Sentosa Island, which is one venue where travelling with kids won’t be backbreaker as there are multiple activities for kids as well. Check out Trick Eye Museum, as fun it can be for kids, adults too enjoy this very place.

Best Restaurants in Sentosa Island
1. Trapizza
Trapizza is where to head to if you’re after some feel-good Italian food with an exotic beach view in Sentosa. Located right on the Silosa beachfront at the sumptuous Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Hotel, this casual diner serves up some excellent thin-crust pizzas which are all cooked in the wood fire oven onsite. Trapizza also does a range of pasta, salads, snacks and desserts. The range of cocktails and beers is solid and there are some nice fruit juice combos for those skipping the alcohol. Set amidst the palm trees of Siloso Beach and overlooking the South China Sea, Trapizza is a great bet if you’re at the western end of Siloso Beach and looking for a spot to watch the sun go down.

2. SKIRT at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove
SKIRT is a posh steakhouse at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove Hotel, towards the east of the island. Those with a craving for some meat will love their sharing menu, which takes advantage of a range of fine cuts, including Blackmore Japanese Wagyu and Australian Tajima Wagyu beef – 2 particularly rare and expensive varieties. Almost more striking than the food, however, is the design of SKIRT. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood in during the daytime, while the artsy hanging light features create a rather romantic setting at night. Seating arrangements are flexible, but those coming in groups should opt for one of the booths which are nice and cosy and great for that sharing menu. If you’re on a limited budget, SKIRT at W Singapore is probably not the place for you; their set menu starts from S$168 per person (minimum of 6 people).

3, Blue Lotus @Sentosa Cove
Blue Lotus @Sentosa Cove is a fine dining establishment at the modern Sentosa Cove. Also dubbed the Blue Lotus Chinese Eating House, this is actually a sister restaurant of the flagship Saint Pierre restaurant of the same company just a few minutes’ walk away. Rather than French, the flavours here are of course all Chinese, although Blue Lotus has certainly given traditional dishes more of a modern touch.

Examples of this include their borderline-fusion crispy Sichuan-style fish and chips, their Wagyu beef and foie gras fried rice and their range of other changing dishes take full advantage of fresh seafood like lobster and crab. Traditional red paper lanterns attempt at making the decor fit with the food, although the surroundings don’t wow us too much, leaving room for their inventive and delicious dishes to do all the talking.
