Situated less than 100 miles southeast of Bangkok, Pattaya is the closest major beach destination to Thailand's capital city. Visitors can spend hours at the beach sunbathing or participating in water sports activities like windsurfing and water skiing before heading to the Art in Paradise Interactive Art Museum or the Sanctuary of Truth Museum to admire various works of art and architecture. Once the sun goes down, all of the action can be found on Walking Street, a 1,640-foot-long stretch of bright lights, nightclubs, restaurants and bars.

Food in Pattaya City

1. Jae Tho Beef Noodle

Jae Tho Beef Noodles is one of the few food stalls at this local Thai restaurant in Pattaya that’s specialized in beef noodles. This local eatery, which is actually a tiny food court, is surprisingly clean and has several food stalls that serve all sorts of local deliciousness. The main reason for visiting this place is to try their popular aromatic Stewed Beef Noodle Soup (60 THB). Other noodle soups are available too, such as the Stewed Pork Noodle Soup (60 THB).

2. Pa Tidd

Similar to the previous restaurant, Pa Tidd has some odd opening times. The restaurant is only open between 10:00 and 15:00. But as soon as this local Thai restaurant is open, the first guests already dropping in. The main reason to visit this restaurant is to try their signature Krapao Seafood. Where you usually order you pad kra pao with minced pork or chunks of chicken, at Pa Tidd they make it with a mix of squid and large prawns. A normal portion with rice costs you only 80 THB and you get an authentically flavoured pad kra pao with plenty of chillies.

3. Bake's Braw

If you are looking for a good western breakfast or lunch, Bake ’n Brew is a really good option. It's so good, we even made it on top of our list in ou article about the best breakfast in Pattaya. The cafe is modernly decorated and quite spacious, with a large bar in the middle of the cafe. Here, freshly brewed coffee gets served constantly and so are the large plates of English Breakfast in the morning. The food is made with good quality ingredients and is beautifully presented. For example, the Berry Blast (180 THB), which is a breakfast bowl with grains and fruits, is made of flawless and colourful slices of strawberry, raspberry and blueberry.
